The Associated Press/Washington Post reports on Republicans' "chilly reception Monday to President Barack Obama's invitation to discuss health care in a bipartisan, televised setting later this month, part of the White House effort to revive the stalled legislation."
Obama's move to welcome GOP and Democratic leaders to discuss health care compromises in a half-day gathering on February 25 "comes amid widespread complaints that Democrats' efforts so far have been too partisan and secretive."

Experts say employers should brace for another extension of the federal subsidy of COBRA health insurance premiums for involuntarily terminated employees, with President Barack Obama and top Senate Democrats adding their support to the plan.
The Obama administration included the extension in its proposed fiscal 2011 budget, which it sent to lawmakers February 1.
In Congress, key lawmakers also are backing an extension.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he is skeptical that the federal government would cover the cost of trying Sept. 11 suspects in Manhattan, a day after President Barack Obama said he had not ruled out holding the trial in New York.

TOKYO (AP) Toyota is recalling the new Prius in Japan because of braking problems.
The carmaker says it will inform Japan's transport ministry that it's recalling the gas-electric hybrid that went on sale last year.
The recall will include two other hybrid models, the Lexus HS250h sedan and the Sai, which is sold only in Japan.
